On April 26, Beijing Forestry University's College of Materials Science and Technology celebrated the 11th anniversary of its flagship "April Breeze" cultural gala at the Tin Ka Ping Gymnasium. The milestone event gathered university leadership, original founders of the tradition, distinguished alumni, retired faculty members, current staff and students, attracting a record audience of 1,300 in-person attendees and more than 6,000 online viewers.

The gala unfolded in three thematic chapters: the opening chapter reviews the college's pioneering history and the enduring dedicaition of generations of faculty and students. The second chapter highlights the innovative spirit of today's academic community, highlighting their collaborative breakthroughs in sustainable materials research. The finale celebrated the college's vital contributions to China's ecological development strategies and its alignment with BFU's visionary 'one university, two campuses, and a forest park' vision.

The gala featured 16 diverse performances including musical numbers, dance pieces, poetry readings, traditional Chinese costume displays, and theatrical works. Showcasing talents from over 50 faculty members and alumni alongside 200+ students, the event culminated three months of preparation by nearly 400 participants. This artistic celebration of community spirit earned thunderous applause and multiple standing ovations.

The "April Breeze" gala, a signature cultural event of the college, has become a cherished platform for fostering community spirit and showcasing talents.
