School of Landscape Architecture: Book sharing sparks intellectual exchange
The School of Landscape Architecture organized a spring book-sharing event under the theme “Reviving Knowledge Through Books”, attracting over 150 students from across the university. Students recommended quality books for a shared reading list online, and exchanged idle books through book swaps offline. The event also featured interactive stations for photo-sharing, poetry chain games, and group book discussions, enriching the reading experience through creative collaboration.



College of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology: Reading fuels academic excellence
The College of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology launched its “Cultivating in Words, Settling in Research” series for 100+ graduate students. Young faculty shared practical skills in academic literature review and paper writing, while 10 students sharing reading experiences. A 21-day online reading challenge fosters good reading habits, transforming solitary reading into collective knowledge-building to enhance graduate education.


College of Arts and Design: Aesthetic education meets rural revitalization
Following the completion of a 30-square-meter mural project in Mentougou’s Cuandixia Village, a team from the College of Arts and Design marked World Book and Copyright Day by discussing Fei Xiaotong’s seminal work "From the Soil: The Foundations of Chinese Society". The dialogue explored the integration of rural traditions and modernity, merging artistic practice with classic literature to broaden perspectives on rural development.

From campus to village, these initiatives transform reading from a personal habit into a collective knowledge-building endeavor, reflecting BFU's commitment to cultural and aesthetic education, laying a robust foundation for cultivating green talents rooted in patriotism and social responsibility.
