ZHANG, born in September 1967, served as deputy director of the President Office of Beijing Forestry University, director of the Office for International Relations, executive vice president of the Graduate School, dean of the School of Soil and Water Conservation, deputy director of the Advanced Innovation Center for Molecular Design and Tree Breeding, and director of Social Services and Integrated Research Office. In March 2022, he was appointed to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Beijing Forestry University.
Chiefly responsible for academic research, laboratory management, and international affairs, ZHANG also assists the President in overseeing undergraduate education and undergraduate admissions. He directly supervises the Science and Technology Office (Humanities and Social Sciences Office), the Laboratory and Equipment Management Office (Public Analysis and Testing Center), the International Relations Office (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office), the International College, and the China-Mongolia Cooperation Center for Desertification Control (Beijing Center). He serves as the designated liaison to the College of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology and the College of Science.
