On May 26, Beijing Forestry University (BFU) hosted the "My Campus, My Design" Campus Furniture Design Competition alongside the 6th Furniture Design Camp Exhibition. The event gathered distinguished experts and scholars from prestigious institutions including Tsinghua University and Beijing University of Technology, along with representatives from top industry associations such as the China National Furniture Association (CNFA) and Beijing Furniture Trade Association (BFTA). Professional designers from partner companies provided hands-on guidance to student participants throughout the event.

Over 30 works were displayed in the exhibition area, featuring innovative application of new materials such as of rare-earth nanomaterials and formaldehyde-free antibacterial materials. The furniture also integrated smart technologies and ergonomic designs, covering five key campus settings: offices, dormitories, classrooms, libraries, and public spaces. All of the exhibits are ready for wider application.

At the exhibition, BFU President Li Zhaohu noted that the competition sharpens students' innovative thinking, practical skills and overall competence. As a platform for advancing the university's pursuit of New Engineering Construction, it helps establish a joint innovation hub that unites the university, industry, and local government, and promote deeper integration between academia and industry.
