Recently, the "Experience China's Rural Revitalization" activity hosted by China Scholarship Council was undertaken by BFU.

At the opening ceremony, the first secretary of Sidu River Village in Huairou district, Beijing, introduced the building of New Socialist Countryside and the development of ecological enriching people project in Sidu River Village. Majda, the representative of the overseas students from Morocco who has been worked as a volunteer teacher in Sidu River Village, shared her experiences of volunteering life in the place.

The relevant person in charge of the International College of BFU said that the activity aims to build a communication platform for international students to have an in-depth understanding of China's rural revitalization, so as to get close to the real China in a three-dimensional and comprehensive way.

During the activity, the students visited Sidu River Village and communicated with the villagers to learn about the local culture and history. They also get to know the road of industrial revitalization and economic development of Sidu River Village through visiting the characteristic homestays and experiencinglocal customs. The volunteer team introduced the development of the chestnut industry, the entrepreneurship projects and the volunteer service projects in Sidu River Village in detail to the international students, arousing their interest in local public welfare.

The Sidu River Village, located in the northwest of Huairou District, belongs to the Bohai Town. Seating in the Yanshan Mountains, the village is abundant in chestnuts with annual output reaching  800,000-100,000 kilograms.
