Lately, a delegation of five led by Donal O’Connor from the school board of the University of South Wales visited BFU for exchange. Vice president of BFU Li Xiong attended the meeting which was presided over by the leader of International Relations Office.

Li Xiong extended a warm welcome to Donal O 'Connor's delegation. He pointed out that as a comprehensive university featuring forestry, BFU boasts strong diciplinary strength and university-running advantages, and has been committed to expanding international partnerships with foreign universities. He hoped that through this exchange, the two sides will enhance mutual understanding, expand cooperations in personnel training, educational programs, international scientific and technological projects, etc., promoting substantive exchanges and cooperation in multi-disciplinary fields as well as the common development of the two universities.
Donal O 'Connor expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of BFU and introduced the University of South Wales including its history, schooling scale, discipline advantages, teaching management and so on. He said that there are great potential between the two universities to carry out cooperations, and he hopes that the two sides will have in-depth coordination and exchanges for a closer cooperative relationship.
At the meeting, the relevant person in charge of the Office for International Relation gave a brief introduction to BFU. The two sides had preliminary exchanges on the signing of inter-university cooperation agreements, carrying out student exchange programs, doctoral joint training, cooperative education programs and academic research cooperation, and other fields, and agreed to further explore cooperation areas and modes, so as to promote the in-depth cooperation between the two universities for a win-win situation.
