Beijing Forestry University hosted its commencement ceremony to honor the graduating class of 2023 on June 25. 3314 undergraduates, 2238 graduates and 44 overseas students will embark on various new paths and start a new chapter of their lives.

Wang Hongyuan, Secretary of the CPC BFU Committee presented the letters of appointment to domestic alumni liaison Wang Weiyi and international alumni liaison Noah.

President An Lizhe extended warm congratulations to the graduating students and expressed his sincere thanks to the faculty members and the people from all walks of life who supported the students' growth and success. He reviewed the students' past four years and hoped that they would respect, adapt to, and protect nature, upholding and acting on the principle that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, and making contributions to the harmony between humanity and nature.

Sun Xinli, Vice-Chairman of University Council presided over the ceremony. Other university authorities Li xiong, Zou Guohui, Cheng Wu, Zhang Zhiqiang were presented at the ceremny.

 

16 valedictorians expressed their gratitude to teachers and expectations for the future through beautiful flowers and passionate declamations.

 

All graduates take the graduation oath to bear in mind the earnest encouragement and bear the mission of the Times to play an active role in the publicity and education of ecological civilization, green science and technology innovation, making their own contributions to the construction of a beautiful China and striving for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

 

Alumni representative Lin Qiaoling,  chairman of Beijing Huaxiang Flower Wood Group reviewed her study life at BFU and shared her experiences and career advices to graduates.

Faculty representative Wang Qiang from the College of Environmental Science and Engineering delivered a speech. He hopes that the graduates will keep in mind the knowledge and principles of life learned from BFU and grow into new-era exemplary youths who have ideals, dare to assume responsibility, and are hardworking and able to endure hardship.

After the commencement ceremony,  the University awarded bachelor's degrees to 3395 undergraduates, master's degrees to 2073 graduates and doctor's degrees to 301 graduates this year. 

The ceremony was also streamed live on WeChat, Weibo, Tictok, Kuaishou and BiliBili so that the families and friends of the graduating students could watch and interact virtually, which gained 540 thousands views and 160 thousands thumbs-up.

Wearing caps and gowns, BFU graduating undergraduates gathered at the Tin Ka Ping gymnasium for this unforgettable event. For many, today marks the beginning of a new chapter of life. After graduation, they will continue to strive in their own fields and embark on various paths in life once again.

It is reported that BFU gave "go-home voucher" "meal voucher" "experience voucher" for Xiong'an campus of BFU to graduates of class of 2023, inviting them to have a tour to Xiong'an campus when the new campus is in full operation.
