Recently, Professor Yao Peng and Li Jiayan, a graduate student from the School of Landscape Architecture of Beijing Forestry University, published a signed article on the 12th edition of People's Daily (Overseas Edition) on November 14, 2023 with the title of "Exploring Heritage Values and Inheriting Landscape Culture". This paper expounds the outstanding value of Chinese landscape culture, calling for the exploration and inheritance of the spirit and connotation of Chinese landscape culture, and the promotion of the active utilization and sustainable development of Chinese landscape heritage, which are the requirement of the Times.

In the article, Yao Peng and Li Jiayan put that Chinese landscapes embody the Chinese nation's belief and pursuit, aesthetic ideals and emotional sustenance of nature and life, and Chinese landscape culture, boasting a history of thousands of years, has shaped the living environment paradigm of "harmony between heaven and man" and formed the national aesthetic of deep integration of natural charm and humanistic spirit.
