Wang Hongyuan hosts lunchtime talk with student representatives

Recently, Wang Hongyuan, Chairman of the University Council of BFU, engaged in a lunchtime discussion with ten student representatives from both China and abroad to explore topics of growth and development.

During the meeting, Wang inquired about the students' academic and campus experiences, actively listening to their feedback and suggestions. He emphasized the university's commitment to cultivating students with global perspectives and fostering talent through its robust internationalization efforts. Wang highlighted the university's achievements in global cooperation, which have gained recognition from national and international audiences.

Wang shared three aspirations for the students. First, he encouraged them to master their disciplines and build strong professional capabilities by maximizing their time at the university. Second, he urged them to experience China's development firsthand and become ambassadors of its story, participating in diverse activities to broaden their horizons. Finally, he called on students to align their personal growth with BFU's internationalization journey, seizing the opportunities to contribute to the university's global standing.

The dialogue featured enthusiastic participation from students. Luu Thi Quynh, a doctoral student in Forest Genetics and Breeding from Vietnam, detailed her updates on eucalyptus research. Mongolian students Javkhlan Khongorzul, Dashdorj Nomin-Erdene, and Delgersaikhan Zaya reflected on their academic and campus experiences.Meanwhile, Chinese student representatives, including Chen Si, Wang Hezheng, and Han Yuxuan—gold, silver, and bronze medalists of the inaugural Youth Green Technology Innovation Competition—and Sun Rui, a gold medalist in Beijing’s “Challenge Cup”, shared their takeaways from scientific competitions, emphasizing their resolve to excel further in green technology innovation.The students collectively voiced their dedication to participating in the university’s green technology initiatives, aspiring to contribute their ideas and efforts to global ecological governance and sustainable development.
