On September 20, Li Xiaohua, deputy director of the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan(ICBR), and his delegation came to Beijing Forestry University to promote exchange and research. Li Xiong, vice president of BFU, attended the symposium, and relevant leaders of the Science and Technology Department and Graduate School were present. The meeting was presided over by the head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of BFU.

Li Xiong extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the ICBR. He introduced the development of the international cause of BFU and the new development stage of "One University with Two Campus", and said that the international development level is an important indicator of building a world-class university, and we will gather strength to promote the implementation of internationalization.

Li Xiaohua expressed his gratitude to Beijing Forestry University for its welcome and support. She said that the two sides have a long history of exchanges and cooperation, and she hoped that the two sides can continue to maintain close cooperation, take the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges, promote mutual progress, and jointly work for the development of internationalization.

At the meeting, both sides introduced the internationalization practices, and conducted in-depth exchanges on the operation and management of international science and technology cooperation platforms, the mechanism for students' short-term overseas exchanges and participation in international conferences, the organization and coordination of international academic conferences, and the management of international science and technology cooperation projects.

In the future, the two sides will further strengthen communication and cooperation, promote international resource sharing, advance joint graduate training and scientific and technological cooperation for sustainable and high-quality international development of the two sides.
