The 48th ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest Asia Regional Contest and the 9th CCPC China Collegiate Programming Contest were held in Xi'an, Chongqing, Qinhuangdao, Macao, and other locations from October to December. A total of approximately 10,000 students from over 3,300 teams from universities such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, and others participated. After intense online competitions, teams from the ACM Fans Association of Beijing Forestry University were selected for the on-site contests and achieved a total of 9 medals during the contest season, including 3 silver awards and 6 bronze awards.


The ACM Fans Association of the School of Information Science, BFU is committed to promoting teaching and enhancing the practical programming abilities of both teachers and students within the institution. To achieve this goal, the association organizes algorithm training camps during winter and summer vacations, as well as on weekends, for all BFU students. Additionally, the association hosts campus programming competitions such as the Freshmen Contest. In 2023, the association conducted a total of 65 programming competition training sessions, one program design contest for freshmen, and another for the entire university, involving nearly 400 students. The association's outstanding players were selected to participate in various prestigious programming contests, including ICPC Asia Regional Contests, CCPC Contests, RAICOM Programming Skills Contests, and other significant contests both domestically and internationally. In 2023, these players secured 33 national awards and 66 provincial and ministerial awards.

The China Collegiate Programming Contest (CCPC) is a "Powerful Country Cup" technical skills contest organized by the Education and Examination Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China in Chinese universities. It is one of the most authoritative and influential computer programming competitions for college students in China. Currently, ICPC and CCPC are not only significant international programming disciplinary contests but also serve as crucial indicators reflecting the overall programming practical ability of college students. The contest results are listed as key reference bases by numerous domestic and foreign university evaluation institutions.
