Recently, a fire safety inspection team comprising members from the International College, General Support Department, and Security Department has conducted a comprehensive assessment of the international student apartments. This inspection encompasses both Building 9 and Building 6, with the primary objective of identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff.

The inspection team conducted an assessment of the utilization and maintenance of all fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and hoses, within the apartment complex. In order to guarantee immediate response in case of emergency, certain expired fire-related components were replaced. Additionally, the team examined potential hazards in communal areas, particularly those related to kitchen electrical and water appliances, as well as the presence of unauthorized electrical devices. During the inspection, several non-compliant electrical appliances were identified.

The inspection team also entered each student's dormitory to check for unauthorized electrical devices and conducted fire safety education for international students, including the general knowledge of dormitory electricity safety.

This inspection is an important measure to implement the objectives of BFU's 2023 fire safety program. The International College intends to leverage this occasion to disseminate comprehensive fire safety information among all international students, thereby enhancing their safety consciousness and readiness for potential hazards, ultimately fostering a conducive and secure campus environment.
