Beijing Forestry University successfully hosted the 2025 Beijing Intercollegiate Cheerleading Championships and 9th Fitness Dance Competition on May 24-25. Drawing 1,500 athletes from 63 universities, BFU teams claimed several gold medals and the Sportsmanship Award.

BFU cheerleading squad secured 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal, placing 5th in Group A team standings. Meanwhile, the dance team swept the hip-hop categories with 2 golds, claimed the rhythmic gymnastics group gold, and clinched the top spot in Group A overall rankings.

Co-organized by the Beijing Collegiate Sports Association under the Municipal Education Commission, the events were staged at BFU's Tianjiabing Gymnasium and East Campus Sports Hall. Over 30 university sports directors attended the competitions.

The victories align with BFU's campus sports initiative launched in 2023, which promotes athletic excellence through major event hosting. As nationally recognized disciplines, cheerleading (jazz/pom/hip-hop) and fitness dance (hip-hop/rhythmic gymnastics/linedance) exemplify youth vitality in Chinese universities.
