Beijing Forestry University (BFU) has officially become an Associated Partner of the Mediterranean Forestry and Natural Resources Management (MEDfOR) program, marking the first time a Chinese university has joined this international forestry collaboration.
Invited by the MEDfOR committee, BFU submitted its application and successfully passed the review process. MEDfOR is a high-level international forestry cooperation program funded by the EU Erasmus+ initiative, jointly launched by leading forestry institutions from Portugal, Italy, Spain, Turkey and other countries. The program establishes an integrated platform combining education, research and social services, bringing together global academic excellence to address challenges in forest resource management, biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration under climate change.

BFU's accession to MEDfOR represents a significant achievement in advancing ecological civilization and building a global forestry education community as part of its world-class university initiative. As the sole Chinese university representative in the program, BFU will participate fully in international scholar exchanges and advanced forestry talent cultivation.
Moving forward, BFU will continue to expand cooperation with leading international academic organizations, leveraging enhanced international engagement to advance its development as a world-class forestry university.
