On December 22, the Fourth Jiufeng Green International Young Scholars Forum of Beijing Forestry University (BFU) opened in Xiong'an New Area, Hebei Province. The event formed part of the 2025 Beijing International Youth Innovation and Development Forum, specifically the Parallel Forum on Ecological Civilization and Green Science and Technology Innovation, and was co-organized by BFU, the Beijing Overseas Scholars Center, and the Organization Department of the Xiong'an New Area Party Working Committee.

Centering on the theme of "Ecological Civilization Construction and Green Technology Innovation," the forum gathered over 100 outstanding young talents from more than 20 countries and regions worldwide. Through diverse formats, participants engaged in in-depth dialogue and communication on cutting-edge issues of green development and core pathways for technological innovation.

At the opening ceremony, BFU President Li Zhaohu, pointed out that holding this forum in Xiong'an represents a key initiative aligning with and mutually empowering Xiong'an's strategic positioning. He sincerely invited outstanding young talents worldwide to seize this opportunity, and jointly contribute to promoting Chinese modernization featuring harmony between humanity and nature.
Hu Yixiong, Director of the Beijing Overseas Scholars Center, reaffirmed support for BFU's development in both Beijing and Xiong'an, pledging continued services for young talents. Huang Wunan, BFU Vice President, expressed hope that the forum would foster consensus and collaboration among participants. Wang Qiang, another BFU Vice President, detailed the university's supportive talent policies and development environment.

The forum also featured policy briefings on Xiong'an's talent incentives and keynote speeches. Professor Fu Yujie from BFU analyzed industry trends, while young scholars including Dr. Dang Chao from the National University of Singapore and Dr. Zhou Xu from Imperial College London shared their latest research, showcasing innovation in green technology.

As a core talent recruitment platform, the Forum has now been held four times, attracting over 400 young scholars globally. It will continue to drive the implementation of green innovation achievements, contributing youthful wisdom and strength to the coordinated environmental governance of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and aiding the construction of a Beautiful China.
